A bit late but better than never! This is the look I went for my nails on Christmas Day. I acquired both of these polishes just before Christmas and I thought they'd look perfect together. I've been a huge fan of Barry M's Gelly polishes ever since I tried my first one and 'Watermelon' was no exception. I was luckily given it as part of my Secret Santa present from my flatmate and I fell in love with the colour instantly. And then when I came across this Models Own polish in Boots I thought it would be great for a Christmas manicure.

I've not tried any of their Velvet Goth polishes before. They have a matte finish to them which I'm not particularly fond of (as you might be able to see in the second picture) but its nothing a coat of Seche Vite won't fix! It looks so sparkly, I'd definitely like to pick up a few more when my bank balance has recovered from Christmas!

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau De Toilette 30ml Gift Set - £15.09 from Boots

After much persuasion, my sister agreed to drive me to the mall at 8:30am on Boxing Day so we could take advantage of the sales. While I heard that people were queuing for some shops in our local mall from 2am (!!) we managed to get everything we wanted at the time we went in without it being too manic so I can definitely see us making this a yearly tradition.

I am especially happy about the Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire gift set I found in Boots. I'd seen it online when I was browsing Boots's sale on Christmas Day and was broken hearted when I saw that it had already sold out. La Petite Robe Noire was one of my most wanted scents on my perfume wishlist so I hoped if I went into Boots early enough I might be able to grab one and luckily for me there was still a few left when I went in. It was only £15 which is a pretty amazing offer considering Boots normally sell just the 30ml Eau De Toilette bottle on its own for £35!

I was also really pleased with the two Primark dresses I bought. Primark didn't really have a proper 'sale' like other shops but they had some reductions and these dresses were only £2 each! I just wish I'd bought more of them now!

And of course I had to buy the obligatory bottle of Snow Fairy. I bought the largest bottle in the hope that I can make it last a bit longer until they go on sale again next Christmas time. I also picked up their new festive lip scrub as a little present for my flatmate who hasn't tried a lip scrub before. Its cola flavoured so if I wasn't still getting through my popcorn scrubs from last year I would have been very tempted to buy myself one as well.
